The chopping boards are made from hard-wearing  polypropylene while the knives are made from quality Japanese stainless steel. Both chopping boards and knives are dishwasher safe although as a general practice, hand washing is generally recommended to prolong the life of quality knives and a non abrasive cloth used to dry immediately after use.
